Maths made fun at Shemford Futuristic School

“Without mathematics, there’s nothing you can do. Everything around you is mathematics. Everything around you numbers”- Shakuntala Devi

Mathematics, mixed with fun can give your child an amazing learning experience. The fear for the subject gets tranquilized, when it is taught interactively.

Shemford Futuristic School, tends to enhance the learning capability and ability of the children and make them intelligent thinkers. The curriculum here at Shemford is based on the contemporary and efficient teaching and learning practices of Singapore. Every child at Shemford, is developed into individual thinkers that persuade the young minds to extract the very best understanding of the subject through a comprehensive approach for K-8 learners, known as WoW Maths. This gives and takes process of knowledge transaction opens up the doors to a creative and rather radical learning process.

With special emphasis on developing the cognitive mind to solve the real-time problem and logical reasoning, this programme incorporates the Singapore Bar Model Method (a pedagogical strategy recognized globally and ranked the highest in TIMSS) and heuristics (problem-solving strategies) intricately woven with the guidelines of the NCF 2005 (CBSE) and ICSE 2016 Curriculum.

The holistic curriculum garners a lot of attention from the youngsters in unique features such as real-life examples, creative concept visualizations, critical and high-order thinking questions which make learning Maths an engaging experience. WoW, Maths is a learner-centric module, that includes a series of well-formulated challenges and problems, from lower to higher-order thinking that triggers critical thinking and reasoning skills. A race clubbed with appropriate mathematical problems based on various age groups is conducted, to develop a cognitive approach to learning maths.
