Sadhguru’s optimistic venture of spreading awareness

Save Soil is a mission initiated by Sadhguru, a certified yogi, spiritual, and visionary leader. He has been named as one of India’s 50 most influential people. His transformational programmes have successfully touched the lives of millions worldwide. He had initiated the UNCCD accredited Isha Foundation and moved on to launch Rally for Rivers, highlighting the dire state of Indian rivers.

Save Soil initiative is a global movement undertaken to induce a conscious approach to the environment, especially the soil. It aims to address the soil crisis by bringing people together for the common purpose to raise their voices for soil health. In addition, it wants to grab the support of leaders of all nations and persuade them to focus on instituting national policies and actions to restore soil health.

In an attempt to meet and unite experts, leaders, and citizens for addressing an impending soil crisis, Sadhguru planned on undertaking a 100-day journey over 30,000 km, covering 24 nations as a lone motorcyclist. The journey kicked off on 21st March 2022 from London and is said to end in the Cauvery basin in southern India. United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is one key partner of the movement that has been collaborating in multiple aspects.

Nearly 87% of life on our planet depends on soil. Hence, it becomes our duty to support the genuine cause by participating in the initiative together.
